National Drive Electric Week: September 15 – 21, 2014
National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide event to highlight awareness of the advantages and availability of today’s electric vehicles. Electric vehicles require less maintenance and have lower fuel costs than comparable gasoline powered vehicles. Started in 2011 as National Plug In Day, the event has grown each year and has expanded to an entire week and has been renamed National Drive Electric Week. Events are held by local electric vehicle advocates and typically include some combination of parades, ride-and-drives, tailgate parties, information booths and press conferences.
