Lookin' good!...

Kevin Douglass installs his Siemens liquid-cooled 3-phase motor

 

 

This picture is taken from the front of the  car.


Because he decided to use a belt reduction drive, Kevin placed the motor above the transmission.


Both are now coupled to the car by a 3/4-inch aluminum coupler plate. This plate is bolted to the car using the existing engine mounts.


 
Facts about the motor:
215 - 380 Volt, 282 Amp RMS (400 peak) 4 pole, 3 Phase AC Induction 67 Kw peak (33 Kw continuous) 3500 - 9700 (13,000 Max) RPM Weight: 178 lbs
